Dr. Allinson, another member of the society supported the movement and advocated the movement in working classes. The movement was anti-puritan. Thus the essay presented puritanical and anti-puritanical views. If I were a member of the Committee, I would support Dr. Allinson. Birth control movement saves over population. Explain gandhi views on shyness?

Gandhiji’s views on shyness are a little complex as he suffered initially and later benefitted from shyness. When he was in London, he was embarrassed with his shyness. He failed to make any impression on his audience however hard he tried.  He could not express himself in the Executive Committee meeting of Vegetarian Club. He fumbled to speak in a meeting to promote vegetarianism at Ventnor. He made himself ridiculous while speaking on the eve of his departure from London.  Later he says that his hesitancy in speech taught him economy of words. It helped him in restraining his thoughts.

He explains that his hesitancy in speech taught him economy of words. It helped him in filter his thoughts. He never uttered or wrote anything without giving a proper thought to it. He never regret mfor making speech or statemeent, he spoke or wrote. He said that silence is a part of spiritual discipline, and votary of truth, but Gandhijis shyness is objectivised by him which could enhance him as a great orator, the importance of restraining helped him sort of better written expressions and quotes and opinions, rather speech was filtered as such it also tells he never take opposition of anyone.

"I was tongue tied at vegetarian club," elucidate this situation?

I was elected to the Executive Committee of the Vegetarian Society, and made it a point to attend every one of its meetings, but I always felt tongue-tied. It was only in South Africa that I got over this shyness, though I never completely overcame it. It was impossible for me to speak without preparation. I hesitated whenever I had to face strange audiences and avoid making a speech whenever I could; this helped gandhi to avoid conflict and let others understand him properly. Here gandhi himself resigned weighing to his silence that he supported birth control movement in england, started by Dr.Allison mr hill got dr. Allison out was completely illogical as birth control has nothing to do with vegetarianness, since all were part of club Mr hill was also gandhis acquaintance but Gandhi disfavoured to stay as member in club.
